See what I did there!
Tor and I have been working on ourselves in a such a deep process for the past twelve years, fine tuning our inner temple, that it wasn’t immediately obvious that our outer temple wasn’t as much in alignment as we would like it to be. Naturally our diet, habits and practices have shifted during this process and our choices are much more conscious than they were a decade ago but something shifted the end of this year and we realized our focus needed to be balancing the inner and outer in 2017.
In comes the year of the temple. Our intention is to fully commit and bring in consistency with eliminating gluten, dairy and processed sugar. We are also committing to three days a week in the gym, brining back adventure fridays where we go somewhere new every Friday and working in our garden sanctuary at least twice a week. We will strengthen our daily journaling, meditating and affirmations.
In our quest for understanding why the outer frequency isn’t naturally aligning with all of the layers, limitations and imbalances we have released within, we realized we are inviting in a deeper relationship with discipline. I have the habit of staying busy with whatever my recent obsession is, while Tor leans on the side of procrastination filling his time with distractions. While we both come out the other side with much to show for our time and accomplishments, it’s often not in the areas we think we are choosing.
Inviting ourselves to decide what our priorities are and dedicating an equal amount of time as we have desire is our biggest challenge for this amazing new year.
The feeling we both had when celebrating the closing of 2016 and preparing for 2017 was that it is a time for being. We prepared so much for the shift of 2012 and have spent the four years since clearing out, working through, burning off, releasing, rebuilding, fine tuning, structuring, tearing down and recalibrating…over and over and over…and now it’s time to be in the new energy and experience what we have worked so hard toward.
We are inviting and celebrating the art of being…being in grace and ease and abundance. So it is. Aho!
