The universe is currently offering a deeper understanding of the energy of time and cycles and opportunity for each of us to bring this knowing into a place that may help us all see the past, present and future more clearly. Time is relative to each of us. If we imagine our brain like a computer and each of the folders like a day in time, we can understand how our consciousness stores memory. We may create a file on our computer in 2002 but if we go back and edit that file and re-save it in 2017, it remains in the same space on our hard drives, we have just re-written it. We can do this with our memory as well to serve us. We actually do it all the time, just not fully conscious…yet! I will get back to that.
The purpose of time is to organize our experiences and memory in a way they make sense and are easily accessible for present creation. It truly isn’t linear in the way we view it, but instead folds forward and backward on itself all of the time. If we go through a year for example, choosing to be completely plugged into the matrix, not empowering ourselves, or learning, our time simply goes in a circle along with our consciousness. This happens because we are only creating from past experiences and memories, which simply create the same reality in a different space. We are not changing, only the people and places around us. Eventually you will circle back around to the same lessons, the same opportunities, even the same moments. They don’t go away because we ignore them. Because we are going around like a merry go round, everything looks almost exactly the same. It may be the same partner, with a different name and hair color but exactly the same energy. Or a different boss or friend or waiter at the restaurant. The players are the same, only their costumes have changed. The opportunity to grow from the experience and learn the lesson will keep coming back until you finally get it. Like playing a video game and you can’t advance to the next level until you have passed the board. You keep playing the same part over and over.
If we choose, in that same year, to empower ourselves, release victim mentality, begin making conscious choices and working on expanding our consciousness, our time does the same. Instead of going in circles of time, time begins to expand outward with our consciousness and begins to form a spiral. Now, we are still going through the same fields of opportunity but things are much different because there is more space between them, which creates more energy, aka and opportunity. We have a better vantage point and can see things from other perspectives, giving us a deeper understanding or all together new.
In this perspective of time, time may appear to go faster because you are more aware of it but it will most certainly feel more full. Why? Because we store memories based on the level of emotion we have in them. The emotional response tells us how important the moment is and asks for our attention. The key is working through the emotions to a reach a point of understanding and peace. When we get to a place where the memory feels good, we know we have worked through all of its opportunity. We are naturally drawn to do this but when in a victim mentality, it becomes rehashing and regret, which only feeds the negative energy and deepens the need for understanding the lesson. When we remove the ego, which was necessary to take notice of the moment but has now served its purpose, we can see the opportunity more clearly and expand from the experience. From this point, you can now look back and re-member the moment and the energy of growth verses the emotional pain or sorrow that was there before calling for attention. The attention is no longer needed because the moment has already gifted you with its lesson.
Now that we understand this level of time and its relativity to consciousness, we can have an honest discussion with ourselves as to how much we are going in circles or expanding outward in awareness. We can look for patterns in our life, which gives us multiple examples to pull from and further clarity. We can also begin to predict the future based on where we are on our current timeline, compared to our memories in the past. This gives us a huge vantage point in decision making, especially in repeating or not repeating the same mistakes. Mistakes are simply decisions that get us to point A when we wanted to go to point B. You wouldn’t add peaches to a pie 100 times and be angry at the pie when it doesn’t come out as apple. Yet we do this in life daily.
Look at the past month of your life, the past six months and year. Ask yourself what feels familiar. What have you been working on that you are still working on? If you have key players in your life, who do they represent from your past and is the relationship healed with this new person or still showing the same imbalances as before? Do you feel you are going in circles or can you see the expansion and spiral beginning to form? What is your top three priorities in life? Are you dedicating the majority of your time and energy to these priorities? Based on where you are today, what do you see coming tomorrow?
